Online MSW 10-year Anniversary CEU Event (Virtual)

Join us for this exciting and FREE Online CEU opportunity in celebration of our 10-year anniversary! The program, "From Resistance to Resilience: Reframing Resistance in Clinical SW and Program Development," will feature alumni and faculty guest speakers. 2.0 CEUs will be available.

 

School of Nursing - Keynote Speaker (Virtual)

SPEAKER: Frank Nolan '08

TOPIC: The future for advanced practice nurses is bright, with continued demand for their knowledge, skills, and leadership to address an ever growing patient population in healthcare. Advanced practice nurses have the opportunity to positively impact patient care across many different settings including hospitals, offices, clinics, telehealth, and more!

SBA Future of Work Conference

This year’s conference theme is “Beyond ChatGPT” and will include various sessions on work and industry trends in the world of AI. We also welcome keynote speaker Pradeep Ravi. Mr. Ravi is a Partner, Director and Head of Application Development & Innovation for the Electronics Industry in IBM’s Global Business Services division.

Enjoy a complimentary lunch with former classmates inside the Pride Cafe!  You'll be sure to find something you love - from stone hearth pizza, delicious grilled items, fresh salads, soups and sandwiches, and delectable desserts!

 

PMC Class of 1964 - School of Nursing Tour

Tour the School of Nursing that has been recognized as a Center for Excellence for Advancing the Science of Nursing Education and a 2024-25 College of Distinction for Nursing. More than 700 students are currently pursuing undergraduate Nursing degrees at Widener, and the 60th reunion class has established the PMC Class of 1964 Nursing Scholarship to support their success.

 

Parents Network Reception

Parents and families of Widener students are invited to engage with one another, as well as faculty and staff, while enjoying light refreshments before the Pep Rally! Also join alumnus Tracy A. Jones '09 for a networking discussion on the practical steps he took to navigate the global Pride ecosystem to secure meaningful employment and education beyond his years on campus! 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Join us as we induct 8 exemplary former student athletes into the Widener Athletics Hall of Fame!

 

Stargazing with Dr. Harry Augensen

Join Dr. Harry Augensen, retired Professor and Director of the Widener Observatory, along with John Conte ’09 for a night of  stargazing! Alumni, students, and friends will find out what's up in the night sky this month, learn fascinating facts about the Moon, planets, and stars, and see images of celestial bodies taken through our 16-inch Cassegrain telescope. Light refreshments will be served.

 

Alumni Band Reunion Breakfast

Catch up with your former bandmates and current band members over a warm breakfast! 

 

Alumni Band Rehearsal  

Alumni band members who wish to perform in the halftime production are asked to attend a brief rehearsal the morning of the game. T-shirts will be provided at the rehearsal for all performers.

Statue Unveiling for Coach Bill Manlove, Jr.

Celebrate Widener’s winningest football coach, Bill Manlove, as the university unveils a statue to make his legacy visible on campus made possible by the generosity of donors. From 1969 to 1991, Coach Manlove held a 182-53-1 making university history.

 

Homecoming Tailgate Village

The biggest football game of the year deserves a great pre-game tailgate! From PMC to Pioneer to Pride - all are welcome at this FREE event! Find your school, college, student group, department and more – everyone will be there!

The Homecoming Tailgate Village will include:
  • Two beer gardens
  • Food trucks
  • Widener Wild Zone with inflatables and kids activities
  • Face painting, caricaturists, and balloon artists
  • Photo booths
  • PMC Patio
  • Music and more!

 

PMC Broom Drill

All Pennsylvania Military College alumni are invited to march in the annual Broom Drill. The Broom Drill is a beloved, historic Homecoming tradition and honors the legacy of past cadets who drilled with brooms.

 

OSIB/MSA & MSA Student Presidents' Council Homecoming Block Party

The newly named Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging (OSIB) [formerly MSA Office] invites WU alumni to join us for the annual OSIB/MSA & MSA Student Presidents' Council Homecoming Block Party. Enjoy food, music, games, giveaways and best of all fellowship with students, alumni, faculty, and staff! This event is free and is open to both current students and alumni.

Widener Day Open House

Alumni are invited to bring their favorite prospective student(s) to campus to help build the next generation of the Pride! Widener Day is a chance for prospective students to have the opportunity to learn more about Widener by engaging with faculty, staff, and current students in information sessions, campus tours, one-on-one meetings, and academic panels. They'll even have the opportunity to sample some of our delicious food options in the Pride Cafe!

Delaware Law School - Panel Discussion on the 2024 Election

"How Will the 2024 Election Affect Everyone, Especially Women, People of Color, and SCOTUS?" 
Join faculty, staff, and alumni for a critical panel-style discussion on the far-reaching implications of the upcoming election on all Americans, with a particular focus on its impact on women, people of color, and the Supreme Court. Regardless of the election outcome, our panelists will provide in-depth analysis and foster a safe space for everyone to engage in meaningful conversations about the legal and social challenges ahead.
